What do I do when I have an accident?

Call your insurance company to report the accident. You are not required to get several estimates. All you need to do is pick a shop that you are comfortable with and have them deal directly with the insurance company. If we happen to be a direct repair facility for your insurance company, then the process will go even smoother.



What if the insurance company tries to have me take the car to the shop they choose?

It is your vehicle and it is your choice where you take it.



What if the insurance company tells me they won’t warranty the repairs if the repairs aren’t done by a shop of their choice?

Nagel Autobody gives you a lifetime warranty on our repairs.



Who do I pay the deductible amount to?

If you have a deductible, you pay Nagel Autobody when you pick up your car and you are satisfied.



Do I need an appointment for an estimate?

An appointment is not necessary. We are open for estimates Monday thru Friday 7:30AM-5:30PM. Estimates generally take 15-20 minutes depending on other people ahead of you or the severity of the damage.



Will you use aftermarket or salvage parts when repairing my vehicle?

That depends on several factors, including the age of your car and the insurance policy you own.



What if you find more damage after the repairs are started?  Will the insurance company still pay?

The insurance company understands the complexity by which vehicles are made today and as a matter of fact, they prefer that we don’t guess at suspected hidden damage while writing the initial estimate. This is why they call them estimates. We contact the insurance company when we find supplemental items that are not accident related.



Can you bury my deductible?

If you have a deductible amount, that is an agreement that you signed with your insurance company for a specific amount of Co-pay that you have to pay. Please don’t ask us to cheat the insurance companies that we have had relationships with for years.



What if I find something wrong after I pick up my car?

We repaired it, so we would ask that you call us as soon as possible so that our company can rectify the situation.
